Fourth Anniversary Update

Not that it actually matters for the content of this post, but this post was published at 22:22, on 2/22/2022. Because the dates worked out and the timing is fun. :) I even clicked Publish at the 22 second mark.

Here we are, with me finally putting out an anniversary update like I’ve wanted to every year since this blog’s founding, but never gotten around to before. Four years ago today, on an otherwise unremarkable Thursday evening, this blog was born and my first post went up.

Another week, another underwhelming episode. This one was particularly dull – it’s not the worst leg design of this season, but it might have been the most boring episode thus far.

This was certainly an episode of ups and downs. I think the cast is saving this season from being a really lame one; our core group of teams is quite good, and turned a rather dull design for this leg into a decently interesting episode.

The Amazing Race 33 Episode 5 Blog

We’ve been through quite a few ups and downs with this season, haven’t we? I’ve seen quite a bit from all these teams, but soon our time with them will be over… what’s that you say? The season has only been on for four weeks? We still have half or more of the season to go???

It certainly doesn’t feel that way to me – perhaps it’s the fast-paced early eliminations, or just the fact that I’m used to watching at a much faster rate than this. Whatever the reason, it feels to me like I’ve been watching this one forever and it’s almost over, when there’s still plenty left. In any case, let’s dive into this week’s happenings…
